Saucers café

In 1999 Saucers café opened on Academy Road, and brought casual café dining to the River Heights community. With over 25 years experience, owner Dave Schultz embraces the opportunity to be a part of this growing community. Originally a street car route, Academy Road is now lined with owner operated specialty shops, boutiques, fine food shops, and cafés. A unique setting in which Saucers café can call its neighborhood.

Open from 10 a.m. to midnight, Saucers café caters to lunch, dinner, and late night crowds. The menu ranges from appetizers and light meals, such as a Spinach Feta Salad with portobello mushrooms in a sun dried tomato dressing, to sandwiches and wraps, the Chicken Peanut Thai wrap being the neighborhood favorite. The entrées, which are served after 4 p.m., highlight such items as Chipotle BBQ Bison Ribs, Maple Glazed Salmon, and Herb Crusted Lamb. Gourmet pizzas round out the menu. Very few people get away without noticing the pastry fridge. Here lie fresh, sinful cheesecakes and tortes. The 20 layer Chocolate Espresso torte, the Death By Chocolate, and Winnipeg's own Schmoo torte covered with caramel sauce, are among just a few that are featured on a daily basis. A frothy cappuccino, a big bowl of café latte, or a glass of California Shiraz will certainly compliment your food choices. Menu prices range from $ 5.99 to $ 22.99.
